Inside Artem Chigvintsev and Nikki Bella's Romantic Engagement

Nikki Bella is getting ready to walk down the aisle with her fiancé, Artem Chigvintsev. In honor of their upcoming nuptials, it's worth reliving the moment that he popped the question.

A recent episode of "Total Bellas" gave fans a direct look at the moment when Nikki agreed to be Mrs. Chigvintsev. Safe to say, it was all shades of sweetness.

Nikki and Artem confirmed earlier this year that they had gotten engaged after they took a trip to France last November. The couple had shared pictures from the proposal on their social media. They both also professed their love for each other.

However, the recent episode of the reality show finally lets fans in on how it happened. As it showed, Artem had planned a birthday dinner. However, he also had a backup plan — to ask Nikki for her hand in marriage.

Reports confirmed that Artem had enlisted Nikki's sister, Brie, and her mother, Kathy Colace, to help out. Speaking on how she felt to be in on the loop, Brie said:

"This has to be the biggest secret ever, but my sister and I tell each other everything. So, this is really hard on me."

The two families eventually settled down at a lovely chateau before Artem led Nikki to a beautifully-lit room. The room was a vintage lover's dream. It had flowers and candles, and there was a string quartet playing in the background.

"I feel like when we met, it was definitely fate. And the thing is, when I fell in love with you, it was completely out of my control."

Artem continued with a few other lines before he finally popped the question. Overwhelmed with emotions, Nikki jumped into his arms as she said, "Yes."

The couple's family members immediately rushed into the room to celebrate with them. Artem himself was overcome with emotions, as he explained in the confessional that he had worked on the speech for a long time.
