Faith Evans' Domestic Violence Case Dropped after Stevie J Reportedly Refused to Testify
Stevie J's refusal to testify against his wife, Faith Evans resulted in charges against her to be dropped. The music producer previously called the cops on Evans after their domestic fight escalated to physical violence.
Faith Evans will not be prosecuted for domestic violence. According to TMZ, her felony charge was dropped because the alleged victim, her husband, Stevie J refused to testify against her.

Evans was arrested last month after Stevie J (aka Steven Jordan) called the cops on her due to a violent altercation that transpired between them in their home.
Police who responded to the scene saw scratch marks on Jordan’s face allegedly caused by his wife. This prompted authorities to arrest Evans and charge her with felony domestic violence. She posted bond the same day.

It was also reported that Jordan had no intention of getting his wife arrested when he contacted authorities after their fight. All he wanted was to get her out of their home to diffuse the situation. As such, Jordan declined to testify against her resulting in the charges to be dismissed.
This isn’t the first snag in the couple’s young marriage to rouse suspicions of a split.
Shortly after Evans’ arrest, the couple seemed to have patched things up. In fact, Jordan shared a clip where he delighted in waking up next to his wife in the morning.
On Evans’ 47th birthday on June 10, the music producer also paid a sweet tribute to her, writing, “You are a gem & I appreciate you & love you for allowing me to see what love truly is.”
Likewise, he clarified to The Shade Room that he loved his wife and was “not going anywhere.”
This isn’t the first snag in the couple’s young marriage to rouse suspicions of a split. Last year, the couple had to fend off rumors of trouble in paradise during an Essence Festival appearance after they appeared to unfollow each other on social media.
In December, Jordan’s cryptic tweets suggesting his wife cheated on him also cast doubt on the fate of their marriage. However, he later clarified that his social media was hacked denying he ever sent out the tweets.
Jordan and Evans will be celebrating their second anniversary on July 17 but they’ve known each other since 1996 when he produced two tracks for her.
