The musical artists looked gorgeous as always in a purple top and a double buns hairstyle that accentuated her natural beauty.

Omar, however, has another daughter from a previous relationship, Aiyanna Yasmine.

In her caption, she acknowledged that this period, with everything going on, is vital while admonishing her fans to let love lead. The mother of two also described love as “inclusivity,” “fair” and “just.”

Her message seems directed at all the activists that have been fighting against discrimination in the past weeks. Once described by Essence as a representation of black love at its best together with her husband, her counsel on love doesn’t come as a surprise.

In 2014, to celebrate their marriage for almost a decade, the outlet collated the couple’s photos. The images ranged from red carpet appearances to family portraits and photos of them celebrating milestones in their relationship, including a baby shower.

Essence also reports that the couple has two children together, 16-year-old daughter K’ Marie, and 13-year-old son Amir. Omar, however, has another daughter from a previous relationship, Aiyanna Yasmine.

The news piece recalled that the “Love and Basketball” star revealed to Angie Martinez in 2018 that he and his wife had decided that breaking up was not an option for them from the beginning of their relationship.

He attributes the success of their marriage to this decision. In 2005, the pair was featured in Ebony magazine’s February issue dedicated to highlighting ten hottest black couples.

They were spotlighted alongside the Obamas, the Smiths, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Parker, to mention just a few. The magazine detailed Omar’s romantic proposal to his then-girlfriend, Keisha, the previous valentine.
