Ciara Honors Her Father Carlton with a Sweet Post on Father's Day
Ciara celebrated her father, Carlton Harris, in a cute way during this year’s Father’s Day festivities.
Ciara joined the thousands of people who had nothing but sweet words for their fathers during Father’s Day, which took place on June 21.

The singer-songwriter took to her verified Instagram page to post a picture of her and her father, Carlton Harris, having a good time with the words:
“Daddy, I’m truly grateful for how you’ve loved me. You set the tone. You are the Best! Happy Fathers Day. #FathersDay #DaddysGirl”
Since she uploaded the post almost 24 hours ago, it has gotten over 200,000 likes and nearly 700 comments filled with love from her followers and fans. Ciara and her father have been pulling at the heartstrings of fans for longer than anyone can remember.
In addition to making music, [Ciara] also excelled at modeling and acting as she appeared in several TV shows and movies.
Back in 2017 Essence reported that the songwriter posted a video of the pair having a good time at a party that was held in honor of her husband, Russell Wilson’s team, the Seattle Seahawks, victory over the Houston Texans.
The “Like a Boy” crooner’s bond with her father is so close that Vibe Magazine revealed that she used to think about what Carlton would do in certain situations before she reacted.
Even when it came to relationships, the singer-songwriter would often seek out her father’s opinion and then stick to whatever he told her.
For someone who has always looked up to her father, Ciara admitted that she had a difficult time dealing with the aftermath of her parents’ divorce.
According to The Blast, the expectant mother was close to tears as she spoke about her parents’ split during a June 2019 appearance on RuPaul’s show.
Ciara explained that even though her parents had enjoyed over 30 years of marriage, they chose to call it quits and move on by remarrying other people.
Madame Noire added that the one good thing that came out of the ordeal was that Ciara met her man at that time as she told RuPaul that:
“I did meet the love of my life sooner than I had planned. In my mind, I thought I was going to be single for four years.”
Ciara started gaining prominence after she left the girl group, "Hearsay," to start a solo career. The singer-songwriter soon released her chart-topping debut album, “Goodies,” which she followed up with an equally successful “Ciara: The Evolution.”
