The Oscar-winning celebrity added that Tennon was an answered prayer.

“I prayed for you and God said,"Yes! I have just the right person for you!!!! Happy Anniversary my love... The best is yet to be.”

Davis had been going through a period of loneliness when a friend advised her to pray for a husband.

Davis and Tennon have an adopted daughter, Genesis, who’s pictured with them in their renewal of vows photo. Genesis was only a baby when the couple gained custody of her in 2011.

On Father’s Day last weekend, eight-year-old Genesis penned a sweet message for her dad which was posted by Davis.

She told him how much she loved him and how "it would just be me and mommy" if he didn't show up in Davis' life. "Thank you for giving me a roof over my head!!" she added.

Davis, 54, and Tennon, 66, had been dating for four years before they tied the knot. Davis had been going through a period of loneliness when a friend advised her to pray for a husband.

Davis told Page Six that she prayed for “a big black man from the South who looked like a football player" and possibly married with children.

Lo and behold, three weeks later, she meets Tennon who’s also an actor and yes, a former college football player, while filming an episode for “City of Angels.” The rest is what we now know as the beautiful life they share together.
