The 38-year-old mother-of-two, along with fellow celebrity moms Shawn Johnson and Jordin Sparks, shared her insight with a hundred new moms during Carter's "ShowHER Love" virtual baby shower on Thursday, June 18. Clarkson explained that there are numerous roles played by mothers:
"Friend, teacher — thank you, COVID — support system, shoulder to cry on, chef and more."
The "Because of You" singer admitted that mother's daily duties could be overwhelming at times, before assuring the moms that there is nothing better than watching one's children grow.
The actress then added: "I know it can be overwhelming, but it is so amazing. You aren't just molding their little lives, it's changing you in the process too."

Kelly Clarkson and her husband, Brandon Blackstock, 43, who she married in 2013 recently got divorced. The couple parted ways due to "irreconcilable differences" early this month.
The singer and music manager had reportedly been having difficulties in their relationship, and the situation escalated during the COVID-19 lockdown.
Kelly and Brandon have two children together, River Rose, 5, and 4-year-old Remington Alexander. Clarkson confessed to having a tough time during the quarantine.
She has had to attend non-stop to the needs of her children and stepkids Savannah, 17, and 13-year-old Seth, while working on her album.
At the time, the mother-of-two revealed that she was on an emotional roller coaster during the lockdown. Clarkson admits to being a very involved and protective mother, as she strives to make sure her children's childhood is dissimilar to hers (her parents split up when she was six years old.)
Clarkson has also revealed that she often engages in therapy, stating that saying things out loud helps her heal.
