TOPPING THE CHARTS
Country music had changed radically since the acclaimed musician's heyday by the time "Remember When" topped the charts in 2003.
Out of nowhere, hits were difficult to find for traditional-minded artists. Except if a song truly addressed the general population.
Luckily for Jackson, his early-aughts output incorporated a couple of songs that stroked the heartstrings of old-school and standard fans.
SUPPORTIVE WIFE
Jackson, who has been honored with over 40 awards from several award-giving organizations, composed the song about the high points and low points of relationships as a tribute to his wife, Denise Jackson.
Denise stood by him each hazardous and fulfilling step of the way. Jackson was just a small-town Southern boy in the big time.

He made any melodies about his real-life raising by Daddy Gene and Ruth Musick-Jackson or his lasting marriage resound with listeners.
Jackson tied the knot with his high school sweetheart, Denise, in 1979, at the First Baptist Church in Newnan, Georgia, as reported by Country Rebel.
Eventually, Jackson and Denise became a family of five as they welcome their children — Mattie Denise, Dani Grace, and Ali. In 1998, Jackson had an affair that rocked their marriage.

The country singer clarified that marrying at a youthful age had its negative outcomes on them. This was the point at which they should in any case learn quite a bit of themselves and one another.
However, Jackson and Denise reconciled again the next year. The twosome bounce back after the huge trial with the help of a therapy and strong Christian foundation.
As a way to help other couples whose relationships are on the rocks, Denise decided to write a memoir. Her book, "It's All About Him: Finding the Love of My Life," was released in 2007.
It became a New York Times bestseller list. Today, Jackson and Denise remains inseparable through sickness and in health.
