Inside Carmelo Anthony and Wife La La's Relationship Spanning Almost Two Decades

Professional NBA player, Carmelo Anthony and his star wife, La La Anthony's lengthy relationship have been through ups and downs as a couple. Here's a glimpse through their relationship of 20 years.

Carmelo Anthony and LaLa Anthony's relationship started in 2003, which was the first year they met. Their engagement came the following year, but the wedding did not take place until 2010.

Their relationship was excellent for a while, but several cheating rumors which lingered over the years have had their relationship take a turn for the worse.

Although the two are now separated, they are still present in each other's lives. Carmelo shared a family picture back in December 2019. The couple and their son were rocking matching pajamas as they struck funny poses for the snapshot.

Carmelo posted La La again on her 39th birthday, which took place yesterday. The photo was a stunning selfie of La La, which she took while sitting on a bed. In the caption, he wished her a happy birthday. He wrote:

"Screaming Happy Birthday To One Of The Strongest Individuals On This Earth! Love You @lala ?❤️? Keep INSPIRING..."

Before her birthday, Carmelo celebrated La La on mother's day. He did so with a picture of them, which was taken when she was still pregnant with their son, Kiyan.

The two welcomed Kiyan in 2007 before they got married. Their wedding took place about three years later on the 10th of July, 2010, in New York City. It was a star-studded occasion which had many famous individuals like LeBron James in attendance.

La La stunned in a floor-length Vera Wang wedding gown, which featured a sweetheart neckline while Carmelo looked dapper in a black tuxedo. The glamorous occasion and all the pre-wedding planning was captured in La La's reality TV special, "La La's Full Court Wedding," which aired on VH-1.

After the wedding took place, La La spoke about the whole process during an interview with ESPN. She revealed Carmelo's surprising interest in specific parts of the wedding. She said:

"...he was particular on the food choices and very specific on the band and the music... That was an eye-opener for me."

Carmelo and La La kept going strong until about two years after they tied the knot. That was when the very first cheating rumor surfaced. A 19-year-old girl, Asia Monroe, accused Carmelo of having an affair with her.

Carmelo denied the allegations, and eventually, the couple was able to move on from the incident, but another cheating rumor surfaced in 2015 and this time, La La was the one who was accused.

She denied it, and the couple moved on, but they eventually separated in 2017. Another cheating scandal that involved a pregnancy popped up after the separation. La La was very sad about this even though she was not with Carmelo at the time.

The two decided to give it another go about a year later, but their efforts were thwarted by another cheating rumor which arose in 2019. The couple decided to file for a divorce at this point, but there seem to be hopes of reconciliation if Carmelo's recent posts are anything to go by.
