According to People Magazine, the rapper took to Twitter to congratulate Kim for becoming a billionaire with the words, “I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire.”
Kim’s move allegedly brought the value of her cosmetic and fragrance brand to $1 billion and her net worth to a calculated $900 million.
Kanye continued the tweet by stating that his wife has “weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family.” The tribute, which included an image of flowers and fresh farm produce laid out in the sun, has over 10,000 Twitter users talking about it.
The "All of The Lights" crooner's tweet was the rapper’s way of celebrating Kim’s latest partnership with Coty. People Magazine reported that the reality TV star struck a deal with the global beauty company to sell off a 20% share in KKW Beauty for $200 million.
Kim’s move allegedly brought the value of her cosmetic and fragrance brand to $1 billion and her net worth to a calculated $900 million. The deal would also allow the reality star’s KKW Beauty brand to branch into more categories such as hair care, personal care, skincare, and nail products. Through a press release to announce the deal, the mother-of-four said:
“This relationship will allow me to focus on the creative elements that I’m so passionate about while benefiting from the incredible resources of Coty, and launching my products around the world.”
Back in November 2019, her sister, Kylie Jenner, also made the same move as she sold off a significant stake of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty. People Magazine revealed that the 22-year-old sold a 51% stake of her business for $600 million after three years of sustaining its full ownership.
Even though Kylie sold that much stake, she and her team would remain in charge of all creative steps as pertaining to communication initiatives and product outcomes.
The mother-of-one noted that she was “excited to partner with Coty to continue to reach even more fans of Kylie Cosmetics and Kylie Skin,” in a statement.
