FOREVER IN THEIR HEARTS
In a heartbreaking Instagram post, Tia paid tribute to her late friend as she recalled the best of memories they have made together ever since they were young, writing:
"Just some of my favorite memories- you helping my sister and myself look for a place to live when my parents kicked Tamera and I out of the house at 25."
According to Tia, Rivera was the one who introduced her to the wildest drink of her life and she laughed at Tia because she could not handle it.
Tamera shared that she had known Rivera since as early as 9 years old.
Tia also shared how the "Glee" star happily agreed to shoot an episode of her cooking show "Tia Mowry" at home. These were some of the best memories among the hundreds of others that they made together.
ONLY IN MEMORIES NOW
Meanwhile, Tamera took to her Instagram to express her sadness over her beloved friend's death. She shared that she had known Rivera since as early as 9 years old.
The actress went on to share how blessed she feels to have known Rivera's friendship for over 20 years. Pouring her heart over how she will never forget her friend's love, warmth, and sweet smile, she wrote:
"You took my breath away and always will. Another angel has gained her wings. My heart goes out to the Rivera family."
According to Sgt Kevin Donoghue, Rivera's 4-year-old son Josey had seen his mother "disappear beneath the water." The child was napping alone in the boat when he was found.
Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub said that the actress had managed to get her son back on the boat before she drowned. May her soul rest in peace.
