According to Us Weekly, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are getting help from a close family member, Doria Ragland, when it comes to caring for their young son, Archie.

Harry, 35, and Markle, 38, have been quarantining in their new Los Angeles home amid the coronavirus pandemic. The pair gave up their roles as senior royals back in April.

These days, they have more time than ever to spend with their one-year-old son. Still, help with parenting is always welcomed. Ragland, Markle's mother, is reportedly stepping up.

Us Weekly reports that the yoga instructor currently lives with the couple in Los Angeles. The source noted: "This has been the most time she has spent with her grandson since he was born."

They explained that "[Ragland] gets up in the morning and reads to [Archie]." In addition, she helps her daughter prepare "all-organic" food for the little boy.

The news follows reports back in February that Markle's relationship with her mother is not as close-knit as it seems. Us Weekly reported the claims at the time.

A source through the outlet alleged that Ragland only used to see Markle once or twice a year when she was filming "Suits." "Meghan isn't as close to her mom as is known," said the unknown correspondent.

However, another source made a differing report in February, saying that the mother-daughter duo relies on each other for support. "She definitely gets a lot of her strength from her mother," they told People.

Ragland was present at her daughter's royal wedding back in May 2018. After Archie was born in April 2019, she was said to be a huge aid in caring for him and helping Markle transition to motherhood.

Markle and Harry first announced they were leaving their senior royal position in January. The pair then moved to Markle's home country, Canada, before settling down in Los Angeles.

They now reside in comedian Tyler Perry's former mansion, which houses 12 bathrooms, eight bedrooms — more than enough space for family and friends who might want to visit and see their baby boy.
