Jessica Simpson Reveals Her First Week as a 40-Year-Old Feels More like a Month

Jessica Simpson recently shared a photo from her 40th birthday celebration at her California home. The “Dukes Of Hazzard” star showed off a floral arrangement in the shape of 40.

She uploaded the Instagram photo on July 20 for her more than 5 million followers. In just a day, the post racked up nearly 300,000 reactions.

In the photo, the blonde beauty can be seen standing next to a table holding a floral arrangement and a cake. “A week into my 40’s already feels like a month,” she captioned the post

The “With You” singer donned a red-and-blue plaid shirt, lace shorts, and fuzzy blue slippers. She was standing in the foyer of the Calabasas, California mansion she shares with husband Eric Johnson.

Make-up free Simpson appeared to have returned to her famous physique. As reported by Daily Mail, the singer lost 100 pounds after giving birth to her third child.

Simpson also commemorated her 40th birthday by wearing a pair of vintage jeans from her twenties.

Simpson and Johnson share three children - Maxwell, 8, Ace, 7, and 15-month-old Birdie. The singer tied the knot with the former NFL player in 2014, as reported by People.

The lavish wedding ceremony was held at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, California. The couple recently celebrated their six years of marriage, as reported by People.

To mark their sixth anniversary as a married couple, Simpson paid tribute to her husband with a sweet Instagram post.

The fashion mogul, who launched The Jessica Simpson Collection in 2005, also mentioned the gift he gave her — a large geode crystal in the shape of a butterfly.

Last May, the couple also celebrated the 10-year anniversary of the day they met. Simpson also took to Instagram to mark the special day, calling Johnson her “perfect man."

As reported by People, Simpson also commemorated her 40th birthday by wearing a pair of vintage jeans from her twenties.

Simpson - who signed with Columbia Records in 1997, at age 16 - released her memoir, “Open Book,” earlier this year.

In the book, she opened up about her past lovers - John Mayer and her ex-husband Nick Lachey. She also wrote about her struggles with alcohol drinking and other low points in her life.

The “The Price of Beauty” star also revealed that her children were in awe when they learned that she wrote a book. Her memoir has become a New York Times' best-seller.

She started writing the memoir back in 2017 when she felt she had hit rock bottom. It was during this time when she found herself drinking alcohol at 7:30 in the morning.

Simpson said she received overwhelming support from her family after her memoir was published. Her children, she said, have read parts of the memoir and she has talked to them openly about her past.
