The stunning shots show Lovato and Ehrich embracing in front of the sea at sunset with big smiles on their faces. Lovato also shared a close-up of her emerald-cut diamond ring, as she gushed in her caption about Ehrich:
“I knew I loved you the moment I met you. It was something I can’t describe to anyone who hasn’t experienced it firsthand, but luckily you did too.”
Ehrich, on the other hand, described Lovato as “everything I could ever dream of and then some in a partner in life,” and added he’s excited about the prospect of spending the rest of his life with Lovato as his wife.

Max Ehrich is a 29-year-old actor that hails from Marlboro Township, New Jersey. Ehrich was interested in the acting world from a young age, and made his screen debut in 2004, in the short film “One Easy Job.”
The date is important to Lovato for another reason: on July 24, 2018, the singer had to be rushed to the hospital after she suffered a drug overdose.
Afterward, he appeared as one of the main backup dancers in Disney’s “High School Musical 3,” which opened more doors for him.
In 2010, Ehrich went on to land small roles in series like “Ugly Betty,” “i-Carly,” “Shake It Up,” and “No Ordinary Family.” In 2012, he joined the cast of the long-lasting soap opera “The Young & the Restless” as Fenmore Baldwin.
For this role, Ehrich was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series category in 2013.
Ehrich has also appeared in the series “Under the Dome,” “The Path,” “100 Things to Do Before High School,” “American Princess,” and Netflix’s film “Walk. Ride. Rodeo.”
The handsome star has shown off his music skills on several occasions. He collaborated with Rebecca Black in a cover rendition of “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” and also co-wrote and sang the theme song of “Walk. Ride. Rodeo.”
Ehrich has shared several covers on his Instagram account, and last May, teased fans with a clip of himself playing the piano that he captioned, “new music coming soon :).”
LOVATO & EHRICH’S BEGINNINGS
Although it is not clear when Lovato and Ehrich started dating, rumors about them being an item started making the rounds around March of this year.
The pair were caught leaving flirty comments on each other’s social media, and Lovato accidentally made an appearance in one of Ehrich’s Instagram live sessions, which was the confirmation her fans needed.
In April, Lovato did a video interview with Capital FM to promote her newest single with Sam Smith and revealed that she had introduced her new boyfriend—although she didn’t name him—to Smith.
Lovato, who dated actor Wilder Valderrama for six years, hinted at how serious her new relationship was when she revealed that anyone who meets Smith is extremely important. “I wouldn’t just introduce just anybody to Sam,” she added.
MAKING IT OFFICIAL
The couple made it official in May when they appeared in Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber’s music video for the song “Stuck With U” alongside other celebrity couples spending time together during the quarantine.
Since then, Lovato hasn’t held back when it comes to sharing pics showing off a bit of PDA with Ehrich.
In June, Lovato and Ehrich went on a trip to the Joshua Tree desert. There, they posed for a series of lovey-dovey pics amid the wilderness. And later that month, Lovato celebrated Ehrich’s birthday with a lengthy post that read in part:
“I feel unconditionally loved and accepted by you in a way that I’ve never felt before... I can’t explain it or you... you’re indescribable, you beautiful, man.”
Finally, Ehrich popped the question to the “Cool For The Summer” singer on July 23. The date is important to Lovato for another reason: on July 24, 2018, the singer had to be rushed to the hospital after she suffered a drug overdose.
Lovato acknowledged her “miracle day” in an Instagram post, explaining that she’s blessed to have been saved by the doctors at Cedars’ Sinai on that fateful day.
“My life has become something beyond my wildest dreams,” she wrote. “Only two years after that terrible day, I’m engaged to the love of my life.”
