Model-Actress Grace Jones' Brother Is an Ordained Preacher – Meet Bishop Noel Jones

Get to meet Bishop Noel Jones, the senior pastor of the City of Refuge Church, Gardena, California, and brother of model-actress Grace Jones.

Grace Jones and her five siblings were born into a prominent family of clergy in the Pentecostal church. This meant that they were raised under strict religious guidance and supervision.

When the kids were young, their parents moved to upstate New York, leaving them under the care and authority of their step-grandfather, who was a strict disciplinarian.

That strict upbringing seems to have played out in the lives of the siblings, going by the work ethic, personality, and careers of two of the famous Jones siblings, Grace Jones and her brother, Bishop Noel Jones.

While Grace found fame in showbiz as an actress, model, and singer, Noel went into ministry like his parents and is the senior pastor at a megachurch in California, the City of Refuge Church, which has about 17,000 members.

His members know him for his intellectual sermons, which have made him a well sought-after preacher, meaning that he travels a lot for programs and missions.

Noel Jones is an ordained bishop with the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World and has a Bachelor of Science in Theology. He also holds a doctoral degree from the International Circle of Faith and is a father of three children.

The pastor also defended his relationship with Loretta, saying that one should do what they know is good and right for them.

The proud father shared a picture on Twitter, showing when he accompanied his son, Eric Jones, to the Score Awards, with the latter winning the Outstanding Minority-Owned Business Award, for which Noel Jones felt honored.

Bishop Noel Jones was married to Ruth Jones for 22 years before their divorce. Since 1992, he has been in a committed relationship with Loretta, with fans able to catch up with them on Oxygen's "Preachers of L.A."

The nature of Noel and Loretta's relationship has, for a long time, raised eyebrows from different quarters, given that they are not married and have been together for a long time.

In answering questions about their relationship during an interview with V-103 Atlanta, the pastor said that marriage was not a prerequisite for being a preacher and that many famous characters in the bible were not married.

He revealed that after being married for 22 years and getting divorced, he was scared of remarrying. The pastor also defended his relationship with Loretta, saying that one should do what they know is good and right for them.

Loretta reportedly revealed that her perspective of marriage had changed since she met Noel and that she was happy with the way things were between them, though she would accept a marriage proposal from him.
