Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's Eldest Daughter Aimée Moved Out at 16 – Here's Why

Aimée Osbourne was recently interviewed remotely on “Q1043 New York” where she discussed her new single. She also revealed the reason why she moved out of her family home when their reality show started airing.

Aimée, 36, is the eldest child of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne who released her new single titled “Shared Something with the Night.” Her band performance name is ARO, which stands for Aimée Rachel Osbourne.

While speaking to the radio show host, Jonathan Clarke, she opened up about going to hospital due to appendicitis. Her 48-hour hospitalization occurred just when the novel coronavirus pandemic was peaking in the US.

HER FAMILIES REALITY SHOW

The singer also addressed why she moved from her family home when MTV’s “The Osbournes” started airing. The reality show featured her parents and siblings Kelly, 35, and Jack, 34.

“The Osbournes” ran from 2002 to 2005. She explained her departure stating: "For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway.”

MOVING OUT AS A TEENAGER

The musician added: “I always really valued my privacy within that family.” At the time, she was only16 and felt she “morally” owed it to herself to opt-out.

She also explained how she didn’t want to be remembered “for being a teenager.” Aimée wanted a chance to “actually develop into a human being.”

BEING MATURE AT 16

Starring in a reality show just didn’t line up with what she saw for her future. She was pleased, however, that it worked out for the rest of her family.

For her part, she felt it just wasn’t in her character or something that she would’ve considered “realistically." Clarke noted what a mature decision the singer had made at such a young age.

BECOMING RIDICULOUS WITH AGE

Aimée responded by joking that she actually was “more mature then than I am now." She added that she was getting "more ridiculous as I get older."

In June 2018, Sharon confessed on “The Talk” that she was heartbroken when Aimée moved out of the house to avoid filming. She revealed how the filming “drove” her daughter “insane.”
