Alyssa Milano Asks Fans to Take COVID-19 Seriously – See What the Virus Did to Her Hair
Alyssa Milano took to social media to share the dramatic hair loss she has been experiencing after recovering from COVID-19. Milano is one of the few who has shown this impact.
On Sunday, Alyssa Milano decided to share a part of her post-COVID-19 experience. The actress suffered from the illness earlier this year but is still feeling the effects of the novel coronavirus.
Milano, 47, shared a clip on Instagram in which she sat wearing a navy blue New York Giants bathrobe. "Hey everybody, I just wanted to show you the amount of hair that is coming out of my head as a result of COVID," she began. The post is found below.

MILANO SHOWS HAIR LOSS CAUSED BY COVID-19
Milano then picked up a green brush, which she announced as her "favorite detangler brush." She showed clearly that there was no hair in it before she began.
She started running the brush through her brunette locks. When she lifted out the brush, one immediately observed strands of hair hanging from the item. Milano took them into her hands.
SHE IMPLORES OTHERS TO WEAR A MASK
She continued brushing her hair, and more of it came out. After a while, Milano finished by saying, "One brushing, this is my hair loss from COVID-19. Wear a [expletive] mask!"
In the caption, Milano wrote: "Thought I'd show you what [COVID-19] does to your hair. Please take this seriously." The post received over 1.2 million likes.
LEARNING SHE HAD COVID-19 AFTER RECOVERING
Last week, Milano revealed that she tested negative twice for COVID-19 before finally receiving a positive result after experiencing several intense symptoms.
"Everything hurt. Loss of smell. It felt like an elephant was sitting on my chest. I couldn't breathe," she wrote alongside a photo of her wearing a contraption over her nose and mouth.
MILANO LISTED A FEW OTHER POST-COVID SYMPTOMS
Milano claimed that the testing system is flawed as she only discovered she had the illness from an anti-body test taken after she recovered. She said she had felt like she was dying.
She also listed a few lingering symptoms, including effects on her stomach, memory, heart, breathing, and periods. She implored her followers to socially distance and practice proper hygiene.
OTHER CELEBS WHO HAD COVID-19
Milano is among several other celebrities who have tested positive for COVID-19, including Tom Hanks and his wife, Rita Wilson, Idris Elba, Todd Chrisley, Mel Gibson, and Lena Dunham.
While most have recovered, a few have passed away. Nick Cordero, Roy Horn, Adam Schlesinger, Ken Shimura, and chef Floyd Cardoz all, unfortunately, died due to COVID-19.
