Ciara Is Being Slammed by Fans for Allegedly Copying Beyoncé on Her Music Video for 'Rooted' – Here's Why

Star songstress Ciara went under fire after critics questioned her creativity and accused her of channeling fellow star Beyonce in the music video for her new song, "Roots."

A few weeks after welcoming her third child, R&B star Ciara dropped a new single, "Roots," which has been gathering varying reactions from fans and critics alike.

Now that the song's video is out, many critics have expressed their disapproval as Ciara went under their scrutiny. The YouTube upload of the new video showed her baring her baby bump as she dressed in royal-like gold ensembles.

The fragments also included an ethereal image that showed the "Like a Boy" singer sitting on a throne-like straw chair with her kids, while she and little Sienna rocked their afro tresses.

Congratulations were in order for Ciara and her lovely family after giving birth to her son, Win Harrison Wilson.

The award-winning singer's video was no less creative and inspiring, but some fans felt like she alluded to fellow star and music icon, Beyoncé.

While one Instagram user mentioned that they preferred Beyoncé's version, another accused Ciara of wanting to be like the singer. A third person felt "Roots" was similar to Beyoncé's "Black is King," however some fans clamped down on trolls as they defended Ciara's creative video.

One fan decried many people's opinions and negated the sentiment that she was copying Beyoncé. One interesting fact is that the "1,2 Step" singer shot the "Roots" video a few days before she went into delivery.

In the video, Ciara exhibited raw Black excellence and motherhood as she symbolized her afro hair and baby bump.

Towards the end of the video, the mom-of-three had a strong message for fans and the general public. The thoughtful words which spoke of resilience had her saying:

"Don't stop fighting for what you believe in. To all my Black queens and kings, continue to plant and spread seeds of love…"

Congratulations were in order for Ciara and her lovely family after giving birth to her son, Win Harrison Wilson. On Instagram, the celebrations were a lavish affair as the singer shared the birthday props set up in honor of the newborn.

The blue and white themed welcome party featured life-size teddy-shaped flowers and myriads of balloons. Following Win's birth, Ciara debuted him in a captivating post on Instagram.

The infant looked peaceful in an all-black baby ensemble with his name in bold embroidery. The star mom simply captioned with a declaration of love.

In an exclusive chat with ET, the "Beauty Marks" singer gleefully opened up on how she and her spouse came about their new baby's unique moniker.

The 34-year-old gave credit to her NFL star spouse, Russell Wilson who always loved the name Win. The baby's middle name is Wilson's dad's name.
