Angela Bassett looked stunning as she flaunted her slim waist in a sheer dress for a recent photo that the actress posted in honor of her 62nd birthday.

Angela Bassett is known for her roles Tina Turner's biopic " What's Love Got to Do With It," "Black Panther," "Waiting to Exhale," and "American Horror Story."

Her long acting credits reflect her success in Hollywood. However, the actress has never been able to shake off the questions about her age and how she has managed to maintain a youthful look past 60 years old.

In 2018, Bassett spoke to Allure about turning 60. The actress said she enjoyed the compliments about her ageless beauty. However, she admitted that the comments could get tiresome. Bassett explained her outlook on age and said:

"As we advance, 60 is the new 40, or 70 is the new 50. It keeps getting pushed. But you have to keep the stress down and the attitude hot."

Recently, Bassett kept her "stress down and the attitude hot" when she posed for a stunning photo in celebration of her 62nd birthday. The mother of two flaunted her slim waist in a sheer neutral-colored dress.

In her caption, she wrote, "another trip around the glorious SUN...find the good and VOTE!" She looked flawless, with natural makeup and a deep blush. She combed her hair back and allowed it to rest on one shoulder.

A fan was so captivated by the photo and admitted, "thought we were about to get an album to drop." Another fan wrote, "happy birthday queen!!!!! Keep slaying."

A few of Bassett's famous friends also commented on the photo. Tina Lawson said, "Happy Birthday to A beautiful soul inside and out enjoy your day, Angela, you deserve it." Janet Mock gushed over Bassett's talent.

Bassett, who has been

married to fellow actor

Courtney B. Vance

for over 22 years, revealed in February that Madame Tussauds was making a wax figure of her for their museum in Hollywood.

The actress documented the whole experience on Instagram. She shared videos getting her hand cast, face measured, and posing in a glittering jumpsuit.

Bassett and Vance have twins that are teenagers. The couple spent seven years trying IVF fertility treatments before they welcomed their son and daughter via surrogate in 2006.

It is reported, Bassett admitted that it's challenging not to giving all her focus to her children, but she tries to create the right balance for her marriage and career.
