Here's What Rachael Leigh Cook Had to Say about Finding New Love after a Painful Divorce

Actress Rachael Leigh Cook opened up about the new romance in her life ahead of the release of her new Netflix film aptly titled "Love, Guaranteed."

While promoting her upcoming rom-com flick on Monday, Rachael Leigh Cook dished about the new love in her life. The actress has been single ever since she split for ex-husband Daniel Gillies in June last year.

"Love, Guaranteed" is due out on September 3, and the 40-year-old sat down with Us Weekly to share the latest happenings in her life.

HER PREVIOUS MARRIAGE

Cook spent fifteen years married to Daniel Gillies before the pair came to the decision to call it quits. They announced their separation with a joint statement in June last year that additionally stated:

“We love and respect each other as parents, people and artists and look forward to maintaining the best parts of our relationship for many years to come.”

According to documentation obtained by Us Weekly, Cook and Gillies requested joint custody of their two children, 5-year-old Theodore, and 6-year-old Charlotte when they filed for divorce.

THE NEW BOYFRIEND

During the interview, Cook blushed as she spoke about her new romantic interest, Kevin, and she didn't hesitate singing his praises either, as she gushed:

“I met someone really nice, and I adore him. He’s fantastic.”

Even though she hasn't introduced Kevin to the kids yet, she is in no rush, and they are enjoying the opportunity to spend quality time together.

Quarantine time amid the novel coronavirus pandemic provides plenty of "quality couch time" for the couple, who love bonding over "trash" television.

Cook made her first appearance in film back in 1995 when she landed a role in the comedy "The Baby-Sitters Club," and she built a successful career since then.

However, it's her appearance in "Josie And The Pussycats" four years later that gave her widespread recognition for her acting talent.

ANOTHER NEW ROMANCE

Actress Halle Berry recently dropped another hint at a blossoming romance when she celebrated her 54th birthday in Las Vegas.

In a snap that merely showed her feet entangled with that of another man, she thanked fans for the many birthday wishes while eluding to mention whom she spent it with, only stating that it was "special."
