DWTS' Val Chmerkovskiy Shares Terrifying Throwback Photos of a Huge Python around His Body
With the new season of “Dancing With The Stars” just around the corner, dancing pro Val Chmerkovskiy shared a slithering update and some “scary stuff.”
“Dancing With The Stars” is set to return for his brand new season on September 14, and ahead of the show’s premiere, dancing pro Val Chmerkovskiy had his fans slither back in time with throwback pictures from Season 21.
The ABC reality dance competition is heading into its 29th season, and Chmerkovskiy is one of the pros confirmed for this season of firsts for the show.

‘DWTS’ CHANGES
The upcoming season will see two major changes as Tyra Banks replaces Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews as solo host for the competition show, in addition to a first among the pro dancers.
Joining the cast this season, are pros Daniella Karagach, and Britt Stewart, the first female black professional dancer on the show.
VAL SLITHERS BACK IN TIME
In anticipation of getting back onto the dance floor, Val Chmerkovskiy took a trip down memory lane, to when Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late conservationist Steve Irwin, competed on the show.
Bindi won the mirrorball trophy when she competed alongside Derek Hough in Season 21. But she didn’t just bring her A-game to rehearsals, and sometimes she brought other things along as well - like a big python.
“To that time @bindisueirwin decided to bring a python to #DWTS rehearsals,” Chmerkovskiy captioned the slideshow of images. “Thankfully Bindi was calm and cool because there was a moment when he started squeezing around my neck and I really thought I was going to die. Very scary stuff.”
OTHER DANCING PROS THIS SEASON
“DWTS” already confirmed the entire cast, aside from the new development that Tyra Banks will host in addition to becoming an executive producer on the show. The model can’t wait to be a part of the show, as she said:
“I’ve been a fan of ‘DWTS’ since its beginning ... The fun mixed with raw emotion, seeing celebrities push past their comfort zones, the sizzling dance performances.”
Chmerkovskiy returns along with several other fan-favourites, including his wife, Jenna Johnson. Chmerkovskiy and Johnson found love through the show back in 2015, and they became engaged three years later.
Johnson, Chmerkovskiy, Karagach and Stewart will be joined by popular pros Gleb Savchenko, Pasha Pashkov, Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Sharna Burgess, Emma Slater, Sasha Farber, Keo Motsepe, Cheryl Burke, and Peta Murgatroyd.
Another popular dancing pro, Lindsay Arnold is absent from the lineup this season, and with good reason - she is going to become a mom in a few weeks.
Around 30 weeks pregnant, Arnold shared an update on her baby bump and teased on some "fun" things ahead as she works on her fitness "bod."
