Ne-Yo & Monyetta Shaw's Kids Look Grown in Back-To-School Photos — Do They Look like Their Dad?

Singer Ne-Yo's former partner Monyetta Shaw dotes on their son, Mason and daughter, Madilyn as they prepare to start new grades in school.

Ne-Yo's former partner and actress Monyetta Shaw recently took to her Instagram to dote on their son, Mason, and daughter, Madilyn, as they start a new school year. The proud mom posted several photos of her adorable kids and penned a caption that read:

"Here's to a blessed school year! @masoandmadi started #homeschool this week. I can't believe that I have a 3rd & 4th grader!"

Shaw added that even though the kids had to go through school under such strange and different circumstances, they were going to make the best of it and find ways to be super creative.

The mom of the two adorable kids thanked the brand that helped her navigate the crucial process of discovering the perfect curriculum for homeschooling her children as well as finding a perfect private teacher for them.

Concluding her new school year dedication post, the excited mother revealed that she got to interview several teachers in search of the perfect one. This terrific trio was all set for whatever the new school year had in store for them.

Heath is a kind, good man who ran his own companies and still manages to make out time for his children and hers.

Shaw shares her adorable son and daughter with singer Ne-Yo, with whom she was in a long term relationship until they parted ways in 2013 in a highly publicized affair. The former couple had been together since the humble beginnings of the singer's career.

Shaw's post dedicated to her kids' new school year came just a few months after shocking social media with news of her engagement to her little-known partner, Heath. Showing that she had picked up the pieces from her life with Ne-Yo and moved on, the mom announced on Instagram:

"I SAID YES!!! ??? You rock Heath bar!? To be loved the way that you love me & my M's is such a blessing!"

Shaw shared a video of her surprise proposal from her partner in which she was beaming with pride when he got on one knee and popped the question. Clearly, she was a long way from the heartbroken woman she was following her messy separation from her former partner.

Shaw gushed about her fiancé exclusively to US Magazine. According to her, Heath is a kind, good man who ran his own companies and still manages to make out time for his children and hers. They bond over the love they have for their kids.

Shaw alleged that Ne-Yo told her his reasons for leaving her were based on his unpreparedness for a monogamous lifestyle. However, the mom of two was shocked when she discovered that the singer got engaged to another woman, Crystal Renay, a year after.

Renay soon got pregnant and gave birth to a baby boy in 2016. Shaw revealed how much she regretted what happened with Ne-Yo, alleging that he made her get her tubes tied because their two children were enough.

Despite the dark emotions surrounding this time, Shaw, who is now happily engaged, found a way to develop a co-parenting dynamic with the singer and even managed to develop a certain friendship with his new wife, Renay.

With all that good energy surrounding them, it is no surprise that the kids are happy. Now ready to tackle the new academic year with her children, Shaw is as proud as any mother could be.
