On September 19, Vanessa Simmons, the daughter of iconic rapper Rev Run, surprised her fans with a striking picture of herself with her younger sister, Angela, on Instagram. In the photo, the sisters are seen flaunting their voluptuous bodies in matching one-piece swimwear.

Thousands of fans flocked to the "Growing Up Hip Hop" reality star's comment section to praise the sisters' beauty. Amid their busy lives, the sisters made sure they maintained a fit lifestyle.

Vanessa and Angela's empowering picture boasts a look of confidence. They seem to be the perfect examples of modern women breaking barriers and that all sizes are beautiful.

While serving a gorgeous look, Angela also showed off her freshly-painted deep red nails, which appeared to be a subtle way of marking her 33rd birthday. She celebrated her birthday on September 19.

Alongside the photo, which generated 125,891 reactions, Vanessa sweetly wrote, "Happy birthday" to Angela and affirmed their sibling love. Many fans were impressed by how tight the sisters' bond has become through the years.

Amid the coronavirus lockdown, Angela appeared sentimental in May. The stay-at-home order, she said, has somehow helped her realize her worth.

The single mother's journey to self-love seems to be one of her ways of coping with the death of her ex-boyfriend Sutton Tennyson.

Vanessa's latest style shows her as an empowered woman ready to slay all the challenges ahead of her. In the photo, she is seen resting her elbow on the table as she poses for the camera with her eyes looking away. 

Angela shared several photos on her Instagram, showing her bikini body and writing a positive message about loving one's body and embracing one's imperfections.

Like many women, Angela faced struggles concerning her body weight. She revealed in her message that her body weight would fluctuate from time to time. 

As she learns to love herself unconditionally, Angela also showed her love for Vanessa during the pandemic. She offered her sister comforting advice, telling her that everything will go back to normal soon.

The single mother's journey to self-love seems to be one of her ways of coping with the death of her ex-boyfriend Sutton Tennyson, who was shot dead in November 2018.

Angela's son was one year old when Tennyson was killed in Atlanta, Georgia. Despite Tennyson's passing, Angela said he left her with the greatest gift - their child who shares his name.

A year after Tennyson's death, Angela and Vanessa also mourned the loss of their grandmother June. On a positive note, the siblings and their family seem to be coping well amid their loss.
