Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their first child together after almost two years of marriage. The royal announced the great news with a heartwarming photo on her Instagram page.
Almost two years after their glamorous royal wedding that took the world by storm, Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their first child together.
The great news was first shared this morning by the royal family via their official social media handles. Alongside a lovely photo of the couple from their wedding day, the palace released a statement saying the couple is thrilled to announce that they are expecting a baby in early 2021.

They noted that Eugenie’s parents, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, alongside Brooksbank’s parents, as well as, the Queen and Prince Philip, are excited about the news.
The pregnancy news comes a month after rumors surfaced that the Queen’s granddaughter was expecting.
Shortly after, Princess Eugenie took to her Instagram page to announce the news in a personal yet heartwarming way. The princess shared a lovely up-close photo of her and Brooksbank holding baby boots while flaunting her engagement ring.
The second slide was an image of the soon-to-be parents in a warm embrace as they smiled they posed in a garden. The sweet post was captioned:
“Jack and I are so excited for early 2021.”
The couple isn’t the only one delighted about their newest addition as soon-to-be grandmother hasn’t been able to keep her joy under wraps. Speaking to Daily Mail correspondent, Rebecca English, the Duchess of York disclosed that she is more than happy for her daughter and son-in-law. She added:
“Thrilled for them both and in my 60th year, cannot wait to be a grandmother. Welcoming a new baby into the York family is going to be a moment of profound joy.”
When the child is born, he or she will 11th in line to the throne, pushing Prince Edward to the 12th position. The pregnancy news comes a month after rumors surfaced that the Queen’s granddaughter was expecting.
It happened that a photo of her visiting Her Majesty at the Balmoral Estate in Scotland went viral. Eugenie was seen sporting black leggings with an oversized green jacket that seemed to be covering her baby bump in the image.
Fans may recall that Eugenie and Brooksbank tied the knot on October 12, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor after years of dating. The princess stunned in a custom Peter Pilotto dress, which featured a corseted silhouette with a low back.
The lavish ceremony which was broadcasted was attended by A-listers in Hollywood, including Noami Campbell, Ellie Goulding, Cara Delevinge, and James Blunt.
