The video collaged photos and clips that ranged from casual dinner pictures to warm selfies and clips from a swimming pool family time with Cox's daughter Coco Arquette.
The video only proved to fans that the love birds shared a tight bond, and their love could stand the test of time. Beneath the post, the star captioned:
"7 years ago I had my first date with this incredible man...and my life was changed forever. I love you, J. ♥️"
The couple, who got engaged in 2016, have reportedly been apart since March due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the social distancing measures. They have, however, not allowed the distance to be a barrier to celebrating this beautiful day.
In July, the love birds were also forced to celebrate Mcdaid's birthday via a Zoom video call. On her Instagram, Cox posted a screenshot from the call as the two enjoyed a birthday meal.
The star reportedly made a surprise appearance with actress Lisa Kudrow in Jennifer Aniston's apartment.
She also revealed that it had been 133 days since they last saw each other. On seeing the happy-sad post, there was an immediate outpouring of love and support from her friends and fans.
In an interview in May, the 56-year-old revealed that it was hard being apart from Mcdaid for so long. She divulged that though they spent a lot of time together on Facebook, she still missed his physical touch.
She further disclosed why they were in different countries, explaining that Mcdaid was supposed to go to Switzerland to write but had to go to England instead. In the course of events, he got stuck due to the pandemic.
Cox has, however, kept in touch with her friends. A few days ago, the star made a surprise appearance with actress Lisa Kudrow in Jennifer Aniston's apartment during the 72nd annual Emmy Awards, held last Sunday.
The trio was known for their hit performances in the sitcom "Friends," and have remained close friends ever since. During the award show, they joked about being roommates since 1994, which was a reference to when the show aired years back.
The Emmy Awards, hosted by famous TV host Jimmy Kimmel was held in the safety of their apartments due to the pandemic. It was aired live on ABC from 8-11 p.m. ET.
