How Courteney Cox and Boyfriend Johnny McDaid Celebrated His Birthday Amid Their Distance

Actress Courteney Cox and her boyfriend, singer Johnny McDaid, virtually celebrated his 44th birthday despite being miles apart due to the pandemic and its restrictions.

Courteney Cox and her boyfriend, Johnny McDaid, prove to the world that not even a pandemic can get in the way of their love. The actress revealed how she and her beau celebrated his birthday while social distancing.

Cox posted a screengrab of a zoom call between herself and McDaid on Instagram, giving an insight into the virtual date they had, to celebrate his birthday. Her caption read:

“It’s been 133 days since we were last together. Covid sucks. Happy Birthday J. I loved our lunch/dinner (LA/London time) zoom date today...”

In the post, Cox was looking stunning in a plain blue t-shirt with her luscious dark curls falling past her shoulders, framing her beaming face.

The birthday boy, McDaid, wore a black sweater, staring back at his girlfriend. Both lovebirds were staring dreamily at each other with happy smiles on their faces.

In just hours, Cox’s post amassed over four hundred thousand likes and comments from celebrity friends who joined Cox in wishing the singer a happy birthday, expressing that they missed him just as much.

The former “Friends” actress has been in quarantine in Los Angeles while McDaid has been stuck in Europe, unable to return to Los Angeles to be with her due to the pandemic.

The singer turned 44 on July 24. He was reportedly supposed to go to Switzerland but traveled to Europe, before the widespread of the novel coronavirus, where he ended up stuck.

The actress and the singer have been together since January 2014 and even reportedly got engaged six months after they started dating.

They later called off the engagement in 2015, parting ways briefly until April 2016 when they reunited and started dating again. They have been together ever since.

For Cox and McDaid, birthdays are not the only days that they go mushy and doe-eyed over each other. Early in June, the actress was spotted out and about in Malibu, showing the world that she was her beau’s biggest cheerleader.

She rocked a lime green vest that had McDaid’s surname boldly printed right across the chest. Beneath, the name was a big number 18. Her boyfriend merch was paired with a pair of blue jeans and casual white sneakers.

The two are an overload of cuteness for the many fans who are rooting for the sweet and enduring love that they share for each other. A love so strong that neither distance nor a pandemic can come in between.
