Simone Biles Wears Her Boyfriend Jonathan Owens' Football Jersey in a Cute Video

The record-breaking multi-medalist who became a star representing her country all over the world is now enjoying a new love relationship that flourished during quarantine.

23-year-old artistic gymnast and Olympic medalist Simone Biles found new love during the COVID-19 pandemic, introducing her boyfriend Jonathan Owens early in August, not long after the end of her previous relationship.

Ever since then, Owens has been a regular presence in his girlfriend’s social media feed, with the two looking more in love with each other in every other post made by Biles.

More recently, on October 2, 2020, Biles appeared in a brief video where she is seen wearing Owens’ Houston Texans jersey, with the star gymnast’s back to the camera to show Owens’ name and number.

The post which also features Owens looking at the camera before giving Biles a gentle kiss on the cheek was shared by the celebrity news Instagram feed of The Shade Room as proof of how “cute” the couple is.

Biles has shown so far that she is pretty much into other famous athletes, but she has also set her eyes on Hollywood, once making every young girl envy her because of her social media “romance” with 32-year-old Zac Efron back in 2016.

A NEW LOVE

Biles made her relationship with Owens official on social media on August 2 when she posted a couple of joint selfies with her new beau on her Instagram, simply captioning it, “it’s just us.”

The news came only five months after Biles broke up with her boyfriend of three years, Stacey Evin Jr., as Biles confirmed to Vogue magazine in July.

That same month, Biles took to her Instagram stories to share a 25th birthday message for Owens, already showing how close the two had become before the rumors of their relationship started to become more persistent.

PREVIOUS RELATIONSHIP

Before embarking in a relationship with the NFL player, Biles famously spent three years together with Ervin Jr., a fellow gymnast. And while she seems to be in cloud nine with her new beau, she previously opened up about how hard her breakup with Ervin Jr. was.

Talking to Vogue in August, Biles addressed her breakup for the first time in public, telling the news outlet that being so young and having already been in such a long relationship, it was hard to see it end.

Nevertheless, Biles recognized that the breakup was for the best and it is great to see that she has already moved on, as Ervin Jr. also has, having debuted a new girlfriend recently as well.

That was the year when Biles became a household name, thanks to her participation in the Summer Olympics. Since she had previously confessed her crush on Efron on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” he became her biggest fan and the two started a loving exchange on social media.

In typical DeGeneres’ fashion, the talk show host immortalized Biles’ crush over Efron by giving the athlete a pair of leotards with the actor’s face and body printed on it.

But despite the fuzz generated about it, Biles and Efron’s relationship didn’t go beyond an innocent flirty exchange and mutual admiration.
