Soon-to-be parents Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank might switch things up for their second wedding anniversary and get unusual gifts with a baby on the way.
Weeks after royal couple Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank announced that they were expecting their first child together, the lovely duo is set to mark another milestone in their journey.
Come October 12, Eugenie and Brooksbank are set to commemorate their 2nd wedding anniversary. According to tradition, the couple is supposed to exchange traditional gifts based on cotton to mark two years of marriage.

However, there are speculations that the duo might switch things up and get creative because of their newest addition, who is set to arrive in 2021. Fans may recall that Eugenie and Brooksbank tied the knot on October 12, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle.
If Eugenie and Brooksbank decide to exchange gifts based on cotton, they would be following in the steps of their cousins, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
The glamorous ceremony was held in front of hundreds of guests, including Cara Delevingne, Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Robbie Williams, Ellie Goulding, and other A-listers in the industry.
For their 1st wedding anniversary, the Princess of York took to Instagram to share a heartwarming montage of special moments of their wedding to a background voice of their vows.
In the accompanying caption, the 30-year-old described her wedding day as the greatest day of her life. The couple also sent out handwritten thank you notes to their well-wishers around the world.

The duo, who were living in Tyler Perry’s California mansion at the time, was said to enjoy an intimate dinner as they gave gifts to each other. Harry reportedly gave his wife a gorgeous bouquet and a ring while Meghan gifted him a handwritten card with sentimental words.
For their 1st wedding anniversary, the Sussexes followed tradition and gave paper-based gifts with the former “Suits” star presenting her husband with a framed copy of their wedding speech.
Prince William and Kate Middleton have also done well to exchange romantic gifts during all nine anniversaries they have commemorated. However, the 1st wedding anniversary gift was the most touching as Kate cooked fish en papillote, fished wrapped in paper, for William sticking to the tradition.
The Sussexes and Cambridges have undoubtedly paved the way for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, and we can’t wait to see how their special day goes.
