Daily Mail: Prince Harry & Meghan Had Double Date with David Foster & Pregnant Katharine McPhee

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted enjoying a lovely double date with soon-to-be parents David Foster and Katharine McPhee to celebrate the latter’s pregnancy news.

Just a few months after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle settled into their home in California, the royal couple has reconnected with good friends, Katharine McPhee and her husband, David Foster.

Shortly after it was revealed that McPhee and Foster were expecting their first child together, the Sussexes joined them for a cozy double date to celebrate the good news.

HARRY AND MEGHAN’S OUTING

According to Daily Mail, Harry and Meghan enjoyed dinner with the celebrity couple at the high-end Lucky’s Steakhouse in Montecito, where a plate of steak and seafood is priced around $60.

Harry and Meghan pulled up to the outdoor restaurant in a chauffeured SUV while wearing masks. The Duchess was seen in a casual ensemble of black pants and a brown t-shirt underneath a trench coat. She paired the ensemble with chic orange mules from Chloe Gosselin.

Harry, on the other hand, looked relaxed in a white shirt rolled to the sleeves and dark pants with a pair of loafers as he held Meghan’s hand. The foursome enjoyed meals and shared drinks until 10:30 pm when they departed.

The cozy double date came a day after it was revealed that McPhee and Foster are expecting their first child together.

THEIR RELATIONSHIP

Harry and Meghan are dear friends with the 70-year-old record producer and his “Scorpion” actress wife. In May, during an interview with Access, McPhee spoke on her and her husband’s relationship with the royal couple. In her words:

“My husband has a really, really beautiful relationship with Harry. They’re so cute, they’re like father and son. We just stay in touch with them.”

As regards her relationship with Meghan, the 36-year-old explained that she and the “Suits” alum attended high school together. However, they weren’t in the same class.

It wasn’t until years later when she worked with Meghan on some shows that their connection began. In March 2019, McPhee delighted fans with a heartwarming throwback photo of herself and Meghan during their high school days.

FOSTER AND MCPHEE PREGNANCY

The cozy double date came a day after it was revealed that McPhee and Foster are expecting their first child together. It would be the first child for the actress, but the seventh for “The Best of Me” crooner.

The great news was confirmed after the lovebirds were spotted on Tuesday, October 6, shopping for baby items and grabbing lunch. The soon-to-be mother proudly flaunted her baby bump in a casual ensemble of black long sleeves and gray leggings.

The pregnancy news comes more than a year after the duo tied the knot in London in an intimate ceremony. McPhee and Foster first met in 2005 when he mentored her during the 5th season of “American Idol.”
