Cristiano Ronaldo Tests Positive for COVID 19 — Girlfriend Georgina Shares Pic of Video Call
This week, it was revealed that soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo had tested positive for the novel coronavirus disease. His girlfriend has had to give him some distance as he battles the virus.
Cristiano Ronaldo, 35, is one of the latest stars to test positive for the novel coronavirus disease. According to the Portuguese Football Federation, the soccer player has been released from the National Team.
Ronaldo will not be playing when the team faces Sweden on Wednesday. The federation also shared on Tuesday that the Portuguese athlete was doing well in self-isolation and that he was currently without symptoms.

TEAM TESTS FOR COVID-19
On Tuesday morning, the rest of the team’s players also underwent new tests for COVID-19. All the other athletes tested negative for the coronavirus and they started training that same afternoon.
According to medical experts, COVID-19 can take between 2 to 14 days for someone who’s infected to show symptoms. So it’s possible that Ronaldo’s teammates might not be out of the woods yet.
TEAMS WHO’VE HAD THE VIRUS
Using teams like the Tennessee Titans and the New England Patriots, one can see how the virus can be easily spread. After their first positive tests, the virus spread among the teammates and staff for days.
Showing some love, Ronaldo’s girlfriend, Georgina Rodríguez, 26, took to her Instagram Stories to show how she was supporting him during this trying time. She uploaded a photo of herself having a video call with the soccer star.

Over the image, she wrote: “You are my inspiration.” The soccer star appeared smiling in the footage and seemed to be in good spirits after testing positive for the contagious virus.
Besides staying away from his girlfriend, the athlete is going to have to avoid his four children. The soccer player is a parent to Cristiano Jr, 10, twins Eva and Mateo, 3, and Alana, 2.
PLAYFULL CRISTIANO
In the summer, Ronaldo, his girlfriend, and his children got to spend some quality time before he started work. Rodríguez shared a video of her boyfriend and Alana playing in the back garden.
At one point, the little toddler was recorded while trying to get a kiss from her father. Ronaldo showed off his fun side by jokingly dodging the little girl’s desperate attempt for affection.
