Fans Praise 'Sweetie Pie's' Robbie Montgomery for Looking Ageless in a Photo with Deion Sanders
Singer and restaurateur Robbie Montgomery, best known as one of the original Ikettes in the Ike and Tina Turner Revue, looks ageless in a recent photo posing next to Deion Sanders.
On October 23, Robbie Montgomery took to Instagram to share an image and a video of her and Deion Sanders at Sweetie Pie’s, her famous restaurant in Jackson, Mississippi.
The singer appeared flashing her beautiful smile at the camera and wearing tight, black pants and a beige and black striped shirt in the pic.
DEION SANDERS AT ROBBIE’S RESTAURANT
Montgomery pulled down her facemask for the photo, revealing her pink lipstick that matched perfectly with her pink nails. Sanders, on the other hand, put on grey pants and a white shirt.
The video showed Sanders having a haircut at a local barbershop and then visiting Montgomery’s restaurant. Once there, he hugged the soul singer and enjoyed some of Sweetie Pie’s food.
In the caption, Montgomery thanked Sanders, who will be the Jackson State football team's coach, for stopping by. She also welcomed him to Jackson and added that she couldn’t wait to meet his mom.
As soon as the singer and restaurateur shared that slideshow on Instagram, her followers took to the comment section to praise her for looking ageless.

One netizen pointed out that Montgomery was “aging backwards.” Another person sent the singer “love and hugs,” adding that she didn’t age. An Instagram user went as far as to say that Montgomery looked “40 years younger. Another Instagrammer wrote:
“Good to see you still thriving through all you [sic] dealing with.”
TRAGEDY IN ROBBIE MONTGOMERY’S FAMILY
Unfortunately, Montgomery’s family made headlines earlier this month for a tragic incident that took place in 2016. In August 2020, her son, Tim Norman, was arrested with charges in an alleged murder-for-hire plot. The victim was Robbie’s grandson, Andre Montgomery, who was shot dead in March 2016.
As AJC reported, Norman, best known as one of the stars of OWN’s “Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s,” supposedly communicated on a temporary cellphone with a woman named Terica Ellis, who met Andre on the night of his death.
It is believed that Ellis, who is also facing charges, was present at the time of Andre’s death. It was also revealed that Norman obtained life insurance policies on Andre, his nephew, in November 2014, and was the only beneficiary. Both Norman and Ellis pleaded not guilty.
