Kate Middleton switched up her look for her visit to Britain's oldest hospital, St Bartholomew, in London, with Prince William, where they met with six NHS representatives.

The purpose of the royal couple's visit was for a special reason, to present NHS heroes with the recognition they deserve, the Pride of Britain Award. Through her wardrobe, the Duchess of Cambridge also gave a thoughtful nod to all NHS workers' efforts.

WHEN TO WATCH

The royal couple showed continual support for NHS workers since the start of the novel coronavirus pandemic. And reports that they became involved in the Pride of Britain awards leaked last week after they met with Kate Garraway, the show's host.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge already made their presentation during the ceremony, which will be broadcast on Sunday at 9 pm on ITV. Thanking NHS for their contributions during a year suspended in a health crisis, Prince William reportedly said:

"They have worked tirelessly around the clock, with humility and compassion, in the most challenging of circumstances, putting their own lives on the line to help others."

ROCKING A PANTS SUIT

Usually wearing a dress or skirt, Kate Middleton switched up her style and donned a beautiful navy blue pants suit for their visit to St Bartholomew's Hospital last week.

While the duchess looked stylish and stately in the suit, the shirt she matched it with added a touching detail to her ensemble.

Middleton wore a Betty Blue silk shirt with a rainbow print from local designer brand Lisou. During the pandemic, the rainbow became a symbol of solidarity in support of NHS workers.

THE LAST TIME SHE STUNNED IN A SUIT

It is seldom that Middleton dresses up in pants for royal outings, apart from the occasional appearance on the sportsfield with the kids. However, sometimes the occasion lends itself very well to indulge in the flattering look.

In December 2018, she not only wore pants during their royal visit to Cyprus, she totally rocked the wide-legged look as they spread Christmas cheer to the military families. To complete the look, Middleton wore a green blazer with a matching clutch.

BLUE FOR BLUE

Navy blue is a color that shows up in Kate Middleton's wardrobe often. Just earlier this month, the duchess visited Imperial College in support of Baby Loss Awareness Week wearing a long fitting blue dress.

Through her visit, Middleton learned about the difference that services such as the Sands and Tommy's charities make in the prevention of baby loss.
