Simone Biles is perhaps the most recognized American gymnast in history with over two dozen medals from the Olympics and World Championships, which is why it comes as no surprise that she maintains a fit figure.

Despite the pandemic that forced everyone to quarantine, the athlete managed to keep a healthy and active lifestyle while preparing for the highly-anticipated Tokyo Olympics at home.

Recently, the 23-year-old shared a glimpse of her workout look on Instagram, flaunting her muscular arms, solid core, and shaped glutes. “Just snakin around,” she quipped in the caption, referring to her outfit.

While standing between an open door, Biles posed in a brown snake print sports bra and matching leggings, with her hair slightly curled and loose. Fans and followers were quick to compliment the athlete, including one who said:

“I love your confidence and style you always look good [sic].”

STAYING FIT

While she’s back to long training hours at the gym, Biles kept her figure and strength intact during quarantine through improvised home workouts, including classes on YouTube.

Despite the delay, Biles is preparing to make an outstanding performance when the games resume.

She also tested her endurance by making 100-meter sprints until eventually having a workout routine with her coaches, Cecile and Laurent Landi, through virtual sessions.

BILES’ DIET

Of course, Biles’ exercises were coupled with a flexible diet that did not restrict the gold medalist from indulging in her favorite food. According to the gymnast:

“I do not track anything. I eat what I feel good with and try not to overeat or stuff myself because I’m always at the gym.”

Although she has no set meals, Biles often starts her day with oatmeal or fruits before having her post-workout protein shake. She sometimes treats herself to pizza for lunch or eats no-oil protein and veggies. With her busy schedule, snacks are often skipped; otherwise, she has fruits.

POSTPONED OLYMPICS

Biles was supposed to compete in this year’s Tokyo Olympics, which was unfortunately postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Many athletes expressed disappointment over the news, including Biles.

In an interview, she revealed that tears were shed after hearing the news while practicing at the gym, although she knew it was the right choice amid the crisis.
