Us Weekly: Katie Holmes Thinks New Romance with Emilio Vitolo Jr Has Potential to Go All the Way

Actress Katie Holmes is in a budding new romance with a New York-based chef, Emilio Vitolo Jr., and according to reports, he has the recipe to her heart.

Katie Holmes and the celebrity chef Emilio Vitolo first got linked in September, and they've been spotted frequently around New York since then, showering each other with PDA.

Even though questions arose about Vitolo's relationship status when he and Holmes got together, sources say she is "on cloud nine." Their romance continues to blossom, and she thinks that he has the potential as her forever after.

From 2006 until 2012, Holmes spent married to Tom Cruise, sharing a 14-year-old daughter, Suri. After their breakup, the actress got involved with Jamie Foxx. Their relationship lasted six years before Holmes called it quits in August 2019.

Vitolo, on the other hand, was engaged to the designer Rachel Emmons up until the time he and Holmes got together, and the timing caused rumors that Vitolo's two relationships overlapped.

However, according to reports, Vitolo treats Holmes like a "total princess," thinking first about their happiness and over fame. “She feels so blessed to be with a centered, down-to-earth, kindhearted companion who isn’t affected by the fame and puts happiness and traditional values first.”

Although their romance is still in its early stages, they are already "serious" about each other, and they don't care what anyone thinks about the quick progression of the relationship, as the source added:

A SHAKY START?

When pictures of Vitolo and Holmes started doing the rounds, reports surfaced that Vitolo had been engaged to Rachel Emmons for 18 months. The couple didn't comment on the reports, and the source explained that things between Emmons and Vitolo had already fizzled out at that point.

According to the source, Holmes is more Vitolo's "speed," and he has a history dating older women, including a previous relationship with an anchor at Fox. Holmes is now 41, and Vitolo 33 years old.
