Some fans found it befitting for the little star to narrate the audiobook after being criticized for her appearance by the media. One Twitter user wrote:
"Blue Ivy, at such a young age, faced so many attacks and commented about her hair from adults who should have known better. To have her narrate a story on 'Hair Love' is just so fitting and perfect."
Another fan tweeted how touched they were about the news and recalled Blue being the victim of cyberbullies over her natural hair in the past.
Fans continued to share their sentiments, including writer Nneka M. Okona who tweeted her gushing approval of Blue's "tender voice." It seems the BET award-winning singer has stolen many hearts in being an icon for her generation; kudos to her!
Oh yes, Blue Ivy is not your average child; she is busy making money waves. The singer takes after her talented parents Beyonce and Jay-Z.
According to Bustle, the announcement of Blue's narrating gig comes after Beyonce's surprise British Vogue cover. "Hair Love" follows an inspiring story about a black father who struggles but eventually succeeds in making his daughter's hair.
The story first started as a seven-minute animated film and won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in February. The co-creator of the film, Cherry, reportedly defined the story as one written to promote the celebration and normalization of black hair.
At the Oscars, Cherry shared that his main reason for creating the film was to change the narrative about black men being deadbeat dads in society -- a commendable approach by the filmmaker. Cherry's choice of working with Blue Ivy on this project has undoubtedly boosted her resume.
Apart from working on big projects, Blue Ivy also appeared in her mother's Ivy Park video in October. Fans were delighted and speculated that the little icon might have given her mom a bossy attitude.
According to Elle, Blue Ivy is reportedly very close to her mom. The 39-year-old allows the youngster to go with her to video shoot sets, awards shows, and recording studios. It seems the Grammy-award winning R&B singer wants to pass on the passion to her daughter.
USA Today reported that Beyonce regards Blue Ivy as her best friend. The actress reportedly said Blue Ivy symbolizes her connection with her husband, Jay-Z, and has always prayed she and Blue are as close as she and her mother, Tina Lawson.
Beyonce further added that although Blue is still young, her connection with her during delivery was phenomenal. Sweet! Mothers always want to preserve a special bond with their daughters, and the "Halo" singer is certainly holding on to hers with her baby girl.
