New Edition's Ronnie DeVoe's Wife Shamari Celebrates Husband's B-Day with a Heartwarming Video
On November 17, New Edition member Ronnie Devoe turned 53, and his wife of 14 years, Shamari, took to her Instagram with a sweet and touching tribute to her hubby.
To celebrate her husband, New Edition member Ronnie Devoe's 53rd birthday, singer Shamari Devoe went all out with a touching tribute and video posted on her Instagram. Her lengthy birthday message began thus:
"It's November 17!! Happy Birthday to the king of my heart, my best friend, my incredible husband @BigRonDeVoe."

The caption continued with Shamari thanking God for creating such an amazing man like her hubby. She added that he is everything their family needs and wrote that it is an honor to be his wife.
Shamari thanked Ronnie for being a hero to so many people and for making her a better woman. She concluded the heartfelt caption by marveling at God's never-ending love and wrote that she loves him.
The sweet and endearing words accompanied a video made of photos and clips pooled from all the years of their journey together. The images included throwbacks from the early days in their marriage to red carpet appearances.
Shamari's video also included photos of them with their two sons, Ronald III and Roman, when they were babies, as well as more recent snaps.
By 2017, New Edition had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with six members.
With almost five hundred thousand followers on Instagram, Shamari is quite a recognizable figure to audiences and has been for many years. Not only did she appear in the eleventh season of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," but she was also a member of the girl group Blaque.
Her husband has had quite an eventful career as a singer with several twists and turns, mainly in his choice of musical groups.
A legend in his own right, Ronnie became a member of the R&B group New Edition late in the 70s. The group has broken up and gotten back together many times.
By 2017, New Edition had a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with six members including Bobby Brown, Johnny Gill, Ricky Bell, Ralph Tresvant, and Michael Bivins. Besides New Edition, Ronnie also formed another musical group, Bell Biv DeVoe, with former New Edition members Bell and Bivins.
Ronnie reportedly met Shamari in 2001 at an after-party following MTV's Icon Award ceremony for Janet Jackson. Five years later, they exchanged vows and welcomed their twin sons in 2017. This was a match made in R&B heaven.
