Former Sexiest Man Alive John Legend Jokes about Quarantine Weight Gain as He Hands over Title
John Legend had handed over his title as "People's Sexiest Man Alive," and he did so on a light note while poking jokes and letting fans know he was ready to gain some quarantine weight.
Music star and former "Sexiest Man Alive," John Legend is more than grateful to Micahel B Jordan, the newly minted "Sexist Man Alive," as he handed his title over. On his Twitter page, Legend shared a congratulatory note lightly addressing B Jordan.
The award-winning singer's post came as a retweet of Jordan's appreciation tweet regarding his acclaimed title. Bringing on his goofy side, Legend, 41, shared his good wishes before going ahead to thank the actor for "bailing" him out of the title.

The "All of Me" crooner noted that he was grateful that B Jordan relieved him of the critically acclaimed accolade. Legend hilariously mentioned that he would gladly go back to gaining quarantine weight, now that he has stopped being the "Sexiest Man Alive."
The "Black Panther" star made it known that his new accolade was well-received by the women in his family.
Many fans in the comments reeled with laughter as they joined Legend in congratulating the "Just Mercy" star. Some admirers were impressed by the sweet way the duo carried on the smooth transition of their esteemed title.
People unveiled its freshest "Sexiset Man alive" during the last episode of "Jimmy Kimmel Live." The recipient looked classy in a hazmat suit as he appeared on the show to receive his title.
Last year, when Legend was presented with the title, his star wife Chrissy Teigen had a field day poking fun at him and basking in her spouse's then-new recognition. On social media, the cookbook author had fans reeling with laughter as she lightly showed her excitement for days.
Now that Legend has passed the mantle to Jordan, it's all about fun. Speaking to People, the "Black Panther" star made it known that his new accolade was well-received by the women in his family.
The star actor mentioned that his grandmother, mom and aunties were huge fans of finding out the next "Sexiest Man Alive," year in year out. He told the newssite:
"[They] are definitely proud of this one. This is one that they're definitely going to have a special place for."
Before Jordan, several prominent men have held the position and many fans confirmed in the past that it was well-earned. While the "Creed" star took over from John Legend, Legend's predecessor was Idris Elba.
Other celebrities who have attained the milestone include Blake Shelton, Dwyane "The Rock" Johnson, David Beckham, Chris Hemsworth, Adam Levine, Channing Tatum, and Bradley Cooper, amongst others.
