Iyanla Vanzant's 'Fix My Life' Teaser — 3 Generations of LisaRaye McCoy's Family Break Down

Actress LisaRaye McCoy, her mother, and daughter had an intense argument in a teaser released for an upcoming episode of Iyanla Vanzant’s show "Iyanla: Fix My Life," which airs in December.

Family drama erupted at the dining table between LisaRaye McCoy, her mother Katie McCoy, and daughter Kai Morae Pace as they voiced out their dismay with one another.

The intense scene was filmed for an upcoming episode of Iyanla Vanzant’s show, "Iyanla: Fix My Life." The teaser, which shows the family argument, was posted on the YouTube channel of The Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) on November 24, 2020.

HURLING INSULTS

In the clip, the three generations of the family are seen airing out their frustrations with one another. As they throw insults at each another, LisaRaye sarcastically asks her mother:

"What do I do about it now mama? Can I buy you?"

Katie retorts that LisaRaye does not have enough money to buy her. The actress later opens up to Iyanla about her ill feelings towards her mother, saying she never wants to be like her.

DEAP-SEATED ISSUES

The three women clearly have some deep-seated issues in their family that they have yet to resolve. Iyanla also points out to LisaRaye that her daughter is broken.

The mother-daughter relationship didn’t seem to be this problematic a few years back. In 2016, the actress threw a baby shower for her daughter, who was pregnant at the time with LisaRaye’s first grandchild, in Los Angeles.

A CHALLENGING PERSONAL LIFE

The family tension is not only between the three women. In September, LisaRaye also had a heated verbal exchange with her half-sister, Da Brat, on the show "Cocktails with Queens."

In 1992, the actress married her first husband, football star Tony Derrick Martin. Their short-lived marriage ended in divorce in 1994.

She took a second chance at marriage with Michael Misick, whom she married in 2006. Misick was the Premier of Turks and Caicos Islands when they married, making LisaRaye the First Lady. Their marriage, however, eventually fell apart, and they divorced in 2008.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, LisaRaye is the daughter of Katie, a professional model, and the late businessman David Ray McCoy.
