See Sumptuous Feast Jennifer Hudson's Son & Ex-fiancé Enjoyed While Celebrating Thanksgiving
"American Idol" star Jennifer Hudson’s son, David, Jr., and ex-fiance David Otunga cooked a scrumptious feast for Thanksgiving and fans adored the duo’s bond.
This year’s Thanksgiving has been meaningful for actor and former wrestler David Otunga. He spent the wonderful occasion in the kitchen with his 11-year-old son, David, Jr., whom he shares with R&B singer Jennifer Hudson.
The 40-year-old doting father, who is also a lawyer, took to Instagram to share his priceless moments with his adorable son while preparing mouth-watering meals at home.

A SCRUMPTIOUS FEAST
Otunga posted a snap and a short clip of himself and David Jr. in the kitchen with their five large trays of perfectly-cooked Turkey cuts on the marble table.
The "A Madea Family Funeral" star who wore a black sleeveless shirt sweetly embraced his son who donned a red printed shirt. The father-son tandem looked proud of their masterpiece. Otunga wrote:
"Mission Accomplished! Now let’s eat! ? ? #happythanksgivng."
Aside from cooking turkey, Otunga also grilled a variety of meat, which included ribs, rib-eye roast, chicken legs, and lamb chops. It was truly a feast fit for the gods.
Looking at the pictures and videos of Otunga, many fans appeared hungry in the comment section, as the pair’s meal looked delicious. Other fans noted the sweet bonding moment between Otunga and his son.
Hudson, who had a contentious 2017 custody battle with Otunga, is also equally affectionate to their son, whom they welcomed in 2009. She earlier threw her son an epic birthday party.
STEPPING UP AS A COOL MOM
Amid the coronavirus pandemic threat, the "Dreamgirls" star prepared a D-11 themed party which included a Nerf gun tournament, a full basketball court playtime, and more fun games.
Clearly, Hudson is one sweet mother to David Jr. who has also shown interest in music. Though she likes that her son loves music, she still wants him to be his own kind of person when he grows up.
But whatever David Jr. wants to do in the future, Hudson is there to support him every step of the way.
Hudson, who will star as Aretha Franklin in the movie "Respect," also shared that aside from embracing music at a young age and making up little songs, David Jr. also showed off his talent in singing.
Hudson shared her son’s beautiful talent on Instagram where David, Jr. sang "Hallelujah" with a pianist on the side. The R&B superstar felt proud of her son’s gift.
She wrote that her son looked focused and in control of singing the song, adding that it is a “mother’s dream” to see her child sing. But whatever David Jr. wants to do in the future, Hudson is there to support him every step of the way.
As David Jr. is slowly picking up her music interest, Hudson recently paid a tribute to the woman to whom she owed her gift of singing - her late grandmother Julia Kate Hudson.
She took to Instagram to pen her heart-melting tribute to her grandmother, who would have turned 95 in June. Without Julia, her "biggest inspiration," Hudson said she would not be where she is today.
