Shaunie O'Neal's Son Flaunts Braids While Posing with Mom in the Pool on Her Birthday
Shaunie O’Neal’s son, Myles, recently paid a birthday tribute to his mother on Instagram while taking a dip in the pool.
Shaquille O’Neal’s stepson with his ex-wife Shaunie made his name known during the 2017 New York Fashion Week as he walked down the runway for Fig Collective.
The following year, he again made an appearance at the Milan Fashion Week for the brand Dolce & Gabbana, alongside the kids of Cindy Crawford and Pamela Anderson.
As seen in his Instagram account with over 200,000 followers, Myles is a fashion and music lover. However, he recently shared a special post and took to his profile a sweet tribute to his mother, Shaunie.
In his post, the mother and son looked relaxed as they took a dip in the pool. The duo sported braided hairstyles while posing side-by-side in an angle that allowed the sunlight to touch their faces.
Myles kept his caption meaningful yet straightforward, greeting his “beautiful mother” a happy birthday, alongside the hashtag “#BlackQueensMatter.” Several fans also took it to the comments section to greet the NBA legend’s former wife on her special day.
Shaquille hopes his girls focus on their academics and obtain college degrees before dating at the age of 25.
Shaquille and Shaunie share four kids, Shareef, Amirah, Shaqir, and Me’arah, while Myles is the television personality’s child from a previous relationship. Nevertheless, the basketball star treats him like a real son, and the two share a close bond.
Despite their decision to go separate ways after nearly a decade together, the former couple continues to co-parent their children. “It’s a man’s job to protect and provide,” Shaquille said.

Most of the athlete’s kids followed in his footsteps as an athlete, including his oldest biological son, Shareef, who played basketball for UCLA before transferring to LSU.
His first daughter with Shaunie, Amirah, is also a professional basketball player, beginning her career in a Santa Monica high school. She later followed her brother to LSU and is still playing the sport she so loves.

Although he loves basketball and is one of the most decorated players in history, Shaquille hopes his daughters do not end up falling in love with an NBA athlete.
