Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas had the warmest tributes on their social media pages. They honored the memories of late movie legend Kirk Douglas on what would have been his 104th birthday.
Movie star Michael Douglas remembers the precious memories of his late dad and Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas, who passed on earlier this year.
The tribute came on what would have been Kirk's 104th birthday. The movie star was not the only one honoring his late dad's memories, and his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, also took to her Instagram page with a sweet post.
Michael, 76, shared an image montage showing some father-son moments with Kirk. Both being Hollywood stars, most of the pictures shared showed them at different star-studded events.
The heart-melting images suggested that Michael did learn a lot of acting expertise from the late actor as some of the pictures showed them on the set of movies or at movie premieres. He captioned the post:
"Happy Birthday Dad! I miss and thank you for always giving the best advice! Love, Michael…"
Zeta-Jones' post could have any heart in a puddle as she shared one of her soulful moments with her late father-in-law and fellow star. In the black-and-white image, the pair were photographed sharing a sweet moment.
The snapshot, which looked like it was taken a little while before Kirk's death, showed him placing a kiss on his beloved daughter-in-law's cheek as she held him in an embrace.
Kirk, who was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018, made the most of the 1950s and more with award-winning roles.
In her caption, the star actress made it known that she missed the late star every day while wishing him a happy posthumous birthday.
Early this year in February, Kirk was said to have passed away at his Beverly Hills home, in the company of his loved ones. Speaking on his life to ET in May, Michael and his wife made it known that Kirk was one of a kind.
The 76-year-old actor shared that his dad was fond of Zeta-Jones and took part in both of their achievements. Michael recalled that Kirk would often call to tease him while asking to speak with his wife.
It is safe to say that Kirk lived a wholesome life making a family of successful stars who would carry on his sterling legacy.
The star whose career spanned over six decades appeared in over 90 movies. Kirk, who was inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2018, made the most of the 1950s and more with award-winning roles.
In his lifetime, he was the recipient of several accolades, including an Academy Award, which came at the early stage of his career.
