Meghan Markle's Fans Think Back to Her Miscarriage after Zara Tindall's Pregnancy Announcement
Meghan Markle’s fans rally behind her on social media and reflect on her devastating miscarriage after Zara Tindall announced her third pregnancy.
Amid royal granddaughter Zara Tindall’s pregnancy announcement, Meghan Markle’s fans have shown their support as they emotionally reflected on her miscarriage on social media.
One user who shared a photo of Zara and her husband Mike Tindall to congratulate them noted that she was thinking of Meghan because baby announcements can be difficult after one just experienced a loss.

Another fan harshly clapped back at a royal fan page who celebrated Zara and Mike, writing that they failed to sympathize with Meghan. This royal fan shared an encouraging message to Prince Harry and Meghan, writing:
“Congratulations. Wonderful news. Zara also had a miscarriage. Perhaps her pregnancy will give grief-stricken Meghan and Harry hope.”
Late last month, Meghan opened up about the heartbreaking loss she suffered in an emotional essay for the New York Times, which she titled, “The Losses We Share.”
Women loudly praised Meghan’s vulnerability on social media as speaking openly about a miscarriage has long been perceived as a taboo.
The Duchess of Sussex recounted how the unfortunate episode happened in July at their Los Angeles home while changing her son, Archie’s diaper. According to her, she felt a sharp pain and knew in that instant she had lost her second child.
Meghan opened up about the devastation she and Prince Harry felt as she lay in the hospital bed later that day. She wrote that they cried and held hands, thinking of how they would embark on their healing journey.
While addressing the stigma around miscarriage, the duchess reiterated the importance of asking about others’ wellbeing, especially during a trying time such as this pandemic.
The mother-of-one also referenced her viral September 2019 interview in South Africa where she revealed that no one had tried to ask if she was doing alright.

It also sparked a reaction from model Chrissy Teigen who had suffered from a heart-wrenching miscarriage in October. Shortly after Meghan’s essay was published, Teigen came out to speak about how she was faring.
The “Chrissy’s Court” host confessed that she was in the “grief depression hole” but assured fans that she was getting all the help she needed from those around her.
The outpour of support for Meghan came shortly after Zara and Mike shared the news of their third baby. Mike dropped the big announcement on Wednesday’s episode of his podcast, “The Good, the Bad, and the Rugby.”
The pregnancy was especially thrilling for the couple as Zara had suffered two miscarriages in the past. They are already doting parents to Mia Grace and Lena Elizabeth.
