Miley Cyrus' Ex Cody Simpson Qualifies for the Olympic Swimming Trials — Michael Phelps Reacts

Cody Simpson shared an impressive milestone of his swimming career, that he has qualified for the Olympic swimming trials for Australia, Michael Phelps shared his support in the comments.

Michael Phelps showed his support for Cody Simpson and his announcement that he had qualified for the Australian Olympic trials for the 100m fly after participating and winning a competition.

On his Instagram, the musician shared that his first love had been swimming but he had chosen to pressure his music career, he has released 3 albums, which he has seen great success in.

In 2016, he shared in an interview with Coca-Cola Australia that he has always had a passion for swimming and a record from when he was younger reminded unbroken for a number of years.

He had explained then that he was getting back into the sport, as it is good exercise. He shared that when he was in the water he had felt the same "buzz" that had been there all those years ago.

"It’s a good form of exercise for me and the best part is I still feel a buzz when I’m in the water – the passion is still there."

It is very exciting new then that he has been able to return and explore another passion of his. The singer received so much support from friends and fans in the comments about his new sporting adventure.

He supported Cyrus through her vocal surgery that she underwent in November 2019.

Simpson used his announcement of his swimming accomplishments as an opportunity to inspire his followers to reach for their dreams and said that anyone can do anything if they work for it.

His biggest ambition in life is to expand the notion of what one person can do in their lifetime he wrote in the caption, alongside a photo of himself in a blue swimming piece and head cap, he continued,

Simpson has been previously linked to Miley Cyrus. The couple was first spotted on a breakfast date in October 2019. They broke up after 10 months of dating this year.

This year's Olympic games were supposed to be held in Toyko, however, it was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and has been rescheduled for July 23, 2021.
