Famous rock star Mick Jagger's oldest son James Jagger is a chip off the old block. Apart from bearing a striking resemblance to his famous father, junior Jagger has followed his dad's footsteps with a music career.

However, James is seriously pushing to break out of his father's enormous shadow. He is gradually making a name for himself within the movie world as a pretty talented actor.

JAMES JAGGER'S ACTING CAREER

Mick Jagger's son has always been drawn to acting from his childhood. During those years, he developed an obsession with becoming Batman and became quite adept at playing the caped superhero.

He began his acting career in 2007, doing stage dramas. That year he featured in a host of stage plays, including "Lone Star," and "Pvt Wars."

In 2016, the musician got his major acting breakthrough when he landed the role of Kip — a snarling, sexy punk band singer — in the star-studded HBO series "Vinyl."

A few months later, the lovebirds held a more traditional celebration that featured several A-listers as guests.

Unlike his father, who was always a star attraction, James has always preferred to keep a low profile, but being a part of the show has exposed the 35-year-old actor into raucous fame.

James has been very vocal about his role in the HBO TV drama series "Vinyl," set in 1970s New York. He also claimed during an interview that working with his father and Martin Scorsese was a great opportunity he could not afford to miss.

Apart from his acting career, James is also an accomplished singer and formed a band called "Turbogeist" with his friends. His stage name is Jimbo Mutant Shinobi.

Meanwhile, James got married secretly to his long-time girlfriend Anoushka Sharma in September 2015, at the Catskill Mountains of Upstate New York.

A few months later, the lovebirds held a more traditional celebration that featured several A-listers as guests. Earlier in the year, James and Sharma sold their Los Angeles bungalow for $1.458 million.

No reason was given for the sale, although some reports suggest that the two are looking for a bigger place as they prepare to expand their family.

James may not have gotten his dream to become the Batman, but with more roles coming his way after "Vinyl" was canceled, there is no reason why he cannot keep wishing.
