Magic Johnson's Son EJ Dazzles in Bold Fur Coat and Heels in NYC — Photos
The basketball legend's son just reminded everyone that style runs in the family, and his latest New York City look is getting people talking for all the right reasons.
EJ Johnson, son of NBA icon Magic Johnson, was spotted in New York City on May 2, 2026, dressed in an ensemble that made everyone around him turn and stare. And once you see what he wore and how people reacted, you'll be doing the same thing.
The centerpiece of EJ's outfit was a voluminous bright red (almost hot pink) faux-fur coat that shone brighter than the lights in Times Square. He paired it with long black opera-length gloves reaching to the mid-arm, sheer black tights, and black pointed heels.
A small red handbag, which looked perfectly adorable next to the coat, pulled the whole thing together. It was a deliberate, fully committed look, and EJ wore every piece of it like it was made for him.
Of course, he has always been unafraid to show his style, especially as the 2026 Met Gala is right around the corner, and photos and clips of his appearance made their rounds fast.
On Facebook, one person wrote, "Stop putting this exotic bird on my TL." Another simply called him, "Stunning and brave."
On Instagram, the comments ranged from playful to full-on supportive. Several people couldn't get past the family resemblance: "My goodness, the spitting image of his dad 😮," "He looks just like his daddy," and similar comments appeared more than once in the thread.
Others were focused squarely on the fashion. "Whatever you believe, you can not deny This look is so FIERCE[sic]!" wrote one commenter. Another added, "Honestly, he's everything he think he is [sic]."
But perhaps the most wholehearted response came from someone who wrote, "Say what you want about but he owns everything that he does. He is truly living his life. Congratulations to him [sic]." Let's check out his transformation:
