People: Ant Anstead Feels Devastated over Being Unable to Spend Christmas with His Children

The television host had shared with his followers his happiness for spending the holidays with his children in the U.K. but now it is impossible.

Ant Anstead, 41, is preparing for one of the hardest Christmases of her life. The former host of “Wheeler Dealers,” has seen his plans to spend Christmas and New Years' with his older children fade away.

The mechanic decided to stay in the United States with Hudson, 15 months, the son he had during his marriage to his ex Christina Anstead. This year has been one of the great changes for the presenter who also left the “Wheeler Dealers” program in November.

Is that the new regulations in the United Kingdom due to the outbreak of the pandemic prevent Anstead from reuniting with his two sons Amelie, 17 and Archie, 14, who live with their mother in the U.K. The source said:

"He is devastated to learn that he cannot travel back to the U.K. He doesn’t know what his Christmas plans will be here in the states just yet."

MAJOR RESTRICTIONS

Starting this Sunday before Christmas Day, certain areas in the U.K. They are under the "tier 4" classification. This classification is the most restrictive of the coronavirus lockdown and prohibits meetings with anyone other than the house or support circle.

They also prevent leaving the home unless there is good cause or a reasonable excuse. Because Anstead's children do not have any immigration status in the US, they are not allowed to travel to join their father in the country.

THANKSGIVING DAY IS GREAT

The presenter is a citizen of the U.K. where Thanksgiving Day is not celebrated. However, he shared how he spent that day enjoying the company of his son Hudson and with a typical menu from his country of origin.

The father of three took advantage of the holiday to take a beautiful boat ride with his youngest son. This could be seen in the images he shared on his Instagram account where he appears with the toddler in some tender photographs.

GRATEFUL ABOVE ALL

Despite the difficult days he has had to live through, the U.K. thinks he has a lot to be thankful for. And it is that he is a man grateful to have health and to his children who are his life.

With an adorable photograph of his little son Hudson, Anstead expressed his regards to his friends in the U.S.A.: “To all my American friends and family…. Happy Thanksgiving, I have so very much to be grateful for."

BREAKUP ANNOUNCEMENT

Last September the Anstead marriage announced the separation on Instagram after only two years of marriage. They had been married in a surprise wedding at their California home in 2018. They then welcomed their only son together, Hudson in 2019.

The announcement of their separation surprised their friends, who had not noticed that the couple had difficulties, which apparently arose after the baby was born. In November, Christina filed for divorce, asking for joint custody of their child.
