Simone Smith and Mary J Blige have been good friends for years, considering each other sisters together with celebrities Nicole Ari Parker, Angela Bassett, Vanessa Williams, Malinda Williams, and many others.
Recently, the rapper’s wife posted an Instagram story with the singer, posing similarly beside each other. Smith looked cool in a yellow hoodie, distressed denim jeans, and black books.
On the other hand, the “Be Without You” artist donned an army green cropped knitted sweater, white jeans, and brown knee-high Fendi boots that matched her belt from the same designer brand.
Both ladies looked beautiful with their long blonde locks let down and hands positioned on their waist. “#sisterlove,” Smith tagged the sweet snap.

The pair have remained close for some time, trusting each other with intimate stories in their lives, including Blige’s divorce and Smith’s cancer diagnosis.
Fortunately, his parenting tactics worked over the years.

Smith was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, chondrosarcoma, in 2004 and underwent treatment to beat the disease. She shared:
“I was working out with my trainer, walking, not paying no mind, walked into the wastebasket, and it hit that little knot. That sent me to the doctor, and that’s when I found out.”
Although it had been a difficult journey for Smith, her husband, LL Cool J, remained to be her support system who grounded her and reassured her that everything would be alright.
Nearly two decades after beating cancer, the couple collaborated with the American Cancer Society to donate money to the non-profit organization, Beat Cancer Like A Boss.
Smith has been married to the rapper for 25 years and they share four beautiful children who have grown to be well-rounded, successful, and independent individuals.
“I’m a blue-collar guy at the end of the day. I’m not going to raise spoiled kids that just don’t know what the real world is like,” the artist said. Fortunately, his parenting tactics worked over the years.
