According to the mother-of-two, open learning is key to making things work. When her co-host Adrienne Houghton posed a question on how couples should teach each other about race, she had the perfect answer.

In Mowry's opinion, as long as a partner is open to learn and understand, it is okay to teach them. She has been lucky in that aspect because Housley has always been understanding.

During the initial days of her marriage, Mowry wondered whether her family would be accommodating to her husband. But once they got to know him, they were pretty happy because he was comfortable with him.
