Jennifer Lopez disclosed in a recent interview that her thoughtful 12-year-old son, Maximilian David Muniz, inspired her to use her strong fanbase and star power to bring about social change.
Jennifer Lopez, posing for the February 2021 cover of Elle Magazine, detailed how her son Maximilian's request for her to use her platform to protest racial injustices made her realize she had raised a loving child.
The star has been known to support worthy causes. Last year, she and her fiancé Alex Rodrigues attended demonstrations held in Los Angeles after the senseless killing of George Floyd.

The star's son realized Lopez had a huge following like the YouTube gamers he follows, Lopez has over 130 million followers on Instagram alone, so he asked her if she would use it to offer support towards George Floyd.
The mother of two revealed she had intended to do so anyway, but Lopez and Rodriguez worked with Maximilian and Emme to make signs which she and Rodriguez held up at the demonstration. Lopez recalled the moment saying:
“He wanted me to make sure I realized that I had power and that I should use it, and I thought that was very insightful."
Lopez had previously used her platform in 2017 to raise funds for relief efforts for Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria hit, displacing millions. The New York native is of Puerto Rican heritage and is proud of it.
Lopez showcased her love of her Puerto Rican heritage during the Halftime performance at the Super Bowl last year. While Emme sang "Born in the USA," the star's American flag costume live switched to the Puertorican flag.
Lopez and Rodriguez have postponed their wedding two times.
The 51-year-old was only in her twenties when she began to amass her massive platform. Lopez has dominated music charts and cinema halls. With time, however, the star has been recognized for her ageless beauty.
Lopez talked to Elle about her new skincare line named JLo Beauty, which she launched in December last year. The mother of two says the secret to her signature glowy skin is Olive Oil, which her mother and aunt used.
"They’d put it in your hair, then it would drip down onto your face, and the next day, your complexion looked like you were 10 years old."
Lopez and Rodriguez who is a former baseball player have been fighting to use her product line. The star hilariously told Elle that Rodriguez loved her sheet face mask so much that he has been using it on himself.
The entertainer often shares posts and videos of her and her fiancé on her Instagram page as they spend time together with their blended families. Lopez and Rodriguez both have two children from previous marriages.
Lopez and Rodriguez have had to postpone their wedding two times. The stars got engaged in 2019 and had made plans to hold their dream wedding in Italy. The Covid-19 pandemic has made the event impossible.
In spite of the pandemic, Lopez has teased fans with new music. She has collaborated with Latin-pop star Maluma. The two are set to release 2 songs and will also star alongside Owen Wilson in a romantic comedy.
