Gaga planted a kiss on Hudson’s hand. Alongside the lovely photo, the “Dreamgirls” star revealed that she was privileged to present Gaga with the Yolanda Denise King Higher Ground Award. She praised the “Shallow” crooner, writing:

“You have done so much work to lift up our shared communities, especially through the pandemic, and I was SO happy to see you sing yesterday.”

Hudson concluded her tribute, urging Gaga to keep up with the excellent work before writing one of Martin Luther King Jr.’s quotes that read, "the aftermath of nonviolence is the creation of the beloved community.”

The tight bond between the two award-winning singers was evident during the 2019 Oscars ceremony when Hudson proudly cheered on Gaga. When the 34-year-old took home the award for Best Original Song, she gave a touching speech.

The “A Star is Born” lead actress, who had given a soulful performance earlier in the ceremony, got emotional and shed tears of joy as she accepted the award. She spoke about not giving up, and Hudson nodded encouragingly in support.

Hudson was captured mouthing the words, “yes, yes, yes,” proudly showing her unwavering support for Gaga. She went further to share a recording of the heart-melting moment on Instagram, praising Gaga for the well-deserved win.

Gaga’s Community Award win comes after she made headlines for her mind-blowing performance of the national anthem at the 2021 Presidential Inauguration. The renowned vocalist gave a historical rendition that won’t be forgotten.

However, it was her glamorous outfit that stole the show. The pop singer stunned in a custom Schiaparelli Couture gown that consisted of a navy blue top matched with a gigantic red ball-gown bottom.

She spiced up the dramatic look with a statement gold dove brooch. Her platinum hair was woven into a crown braid adorned with a black ribbon and a pair of poppies. Her face was glammed-up with bright red lipstick.
