Fans mourn on Twitter Kobe Bryant and his daughter a year after they passed away in a tragic helicopter crash.
Fans shared messages of mourning for Kobe Byrant and his daughter Gigi on the first anniversary of their passing from a tragic helicopter crash.
The basketball star and his daughter died on January 26th, 2020, after the helicopter they flew into a hillside in California. All nine passengers in the helicopter died in the crash.

On the first anniversary of their death this year, fans shared their messages of mourning and grief to Twitter. Many shared the sentiment that they could not believe it had been a full year since their passing.
One fan shared a sweet black and white photo of Gigi sitting on her father's shoulders and wrote that the tears that were shed would never be forgotten. Part of the tweet read:
"l can’t help but remember a year ago today we lost two amazing human beings @kobebryant and his precious daughter Gigi. The amount of tears shed will never be forgotten."
Another wrote that his legacy will continue to live on stronger than ever. Another fan echoed the sentiment as they tweeted his memory and achievement will live on.
Many fans wrote that their thoughts and prayers were with the Bryant family on the anniversary of the father and daughter's death.
However, this tragedy is even sadder as there were two other young teenage girls and their parents on the helicopter who died.
His wife, Vanessa Bryant, shared her tribute to her Instagram to honor her husband and daughter. One of the posts included a moving letter from Gigi's best friend.
The letter was from her friend, Aubrey Callaghan. She wrote that she and Gianna had played basketball together and shared a few memories from their school years today. Vanessa shared the letter with a caption that read:
"Today I received this sweet letter from one of Gianna’s best friends, Aubrey. I love you Aubz (as my Gigi would call you). Thank you so much for beautifully sharing some of your memories of my Gigi."
Many fans of the basketball player shared their condolences for his family. Kobe's basketball team, The Lakers, shared a tribute for him and his daughter and wrote family is forever.

Alyssa Altobelli and her parents, Payton Chester and her mom, had all been on board the helicopter flew from John Wayne-Orange County Airport to Camarillo, California.
